Soofia Tahira Elias-Ozkan
Obtained B.Arch with Honours from the Department of Architecture, Middle East Technical University, in 1980. Worked as an architect in Pakistan and Turkey for 17 years. Taught part-time at the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design at the Bilkent University in Ankara, for 3 years. Obtained an MS in Building Science (1996) and then a PhD (2000) from the Dept. of Architecture at METU. Started teaching at METU in 1997, became an assistant professor in 2001 and an associate professor in 2006.
Supervised 1 PhD and 12 MS theses to completion, and currently supervisor of 4 PhD and 8 MS students.
