Tuition fees are charged for registered Masters students. Tuition fees are intended to cover all aspects of registration at METU NCC, excluding accommodation and living expenses.
Fees are to be paid either at the beginning of the academic year for the full year or at the beginning of each semester of study.
Fee rates are standard and non-discriminatory i.e, they apply to all students irrespective of origin, citizenship or nationality.
The tuition fee is directly correlated to the number of course credits registered.
Current fee rates are as follows:
1 credit = YTL 350
- All core and elective courses are 3 credit courses.
- Thesis registration is equivalent to 2 credits.
- The non-credit thesis seminar is equivalent to 1 credit.
Thus, a typical year one registration fee will be calculated as follows:

Spring Semester |
4 core + elective courses |
= 12 credits |
= 4,200 YTL |
And, a typical year two registration fee will be calculated as follows:
Fall and Spring |
Thesis registration |
= 2 credits |
= 700 YTL |
Thesis seminar |
= 1 credit |
= 350 YTL |
Thus the full tuition fee for the Masters at METU NCC over two years will be 8,400 YTL (Compare this with a typical UK fee or US fee of 24,000 YTL (c. UK£9,750/US$19,000).
Please remember that the above illustration assumes the minimum period of registration. Some students may wish to register on taught courses during their second or subsequent years.
