January 31, 2013: M.S. student Arash Maghsoudloo presented his M.S. study on "nonlinearity of residual shear strength envelope in stiff clays".
December 3-7, 2012: PhD Student Mohammad Ahmadiadli in our research team has been awarded admission and travel/accommodation grant for "Winter School on Numerical and Experimental Assessment of Landslides and Debris Flows" organized by MUMOLADE network (coordinated by ETH Zurich). This school was held at ETH Zurich, Switzerland.

The team of two undergraduate students Berkin Dörtdivanlioglu and Özgün Alp Numanoglu has been ranked 1st in poster presentations (that has 20% contribution in the overall score) and ranked 3rd in Geoprediction 2013 competition (organized by ASCE GeoInstitute) at Geo-Congress 2013, in San Diego California at 3-6 March 2013. June 10, 2014: From our research group, Serhan Ergin defended his M.S. thesis today, on prediction of consolidation settlement of soft ground improved with vertical drains. Congratulations to Serhan!
June 05, 2014: From our research group, graduate student Burak Akbas received "Course Performance Award" given by the Graduate School, for completing 7 M.S. courses in 2 semesters with a 4.0 CGPA. Congratulations Burak!
June 13, 2014: With the owners and engineers at the site at Bursa where a 35 m cut slope will be made.
June 19, 2014: Anil Ekici, from our Geotech Research Group, presented his M.S. thesis work on lateral loaded passive pile behavior at the 8th European Conference on Numerical Methdos in Geotechnical Engineering, held at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, 18-20 June 2014.
