Aim of the course :

 

To provide the necessary tools for the analysis and design of antenna systems for communicatiions, radar & direction finding applications.

 

Grading Policy:

Those not attending any one of the midterm examinations will not be allowed to take the final exam and they will redeive NA grade

·        Short review of  radiation theory

·        Review of field equivalence principles

·        Formulation for the exterior radiation problem

·        Geometrical optics approximatiom

·        Current integration technique – physical optics

·        Aperture integration technique

·        Plane wave spectrum representation of electromagnetic fields

·        Radiation from aperture type antennas

·        Travelling wave antennas

·        Array theory
