WHAT TYPE OF LEARNER ARE YOU?
Learning Style? What's that?
Each of you has a different learning style so each of you learns in a different way. 'Learning Styles' refers to the different ways in which each of you learns. You have traits and preferences different from those of your classmates or friends. This affects how you process information. Ideally, if your instructor's teaching style addresses your learning style, then you will learn will greater ease.
What are some examples?
Learning Styles can be classified in various ways. The following are just some of these ways. You need to remember that you have some of each of the styles but one or two are probably stronger than the others.
Your cognitive style: This is about how you mentally process info. For instance, you may be field dependent or field independent. If you are field dependent, then you are more holistic; if, on the other hand, you are field independent, you are more analytical. You may be using one side of your brain more than the other.
