 Materials:   The course book, my An Introduction to the History of Western Ideas is available to all registered students through METU On-line. Please use the library and internet sources as much as possible to supplement our classes and the course book.  Especially recommended are the internet Stanford University Encyclopedia of Philosophy, and the books Bertrand Russell History of Western Philosophy and Bronowski and Mazlish The Western Intellectual Tradition from Leonardo to Hegel. (There are a few copies in the Philosophy section of the METU library)
