Content

 

This course covers review of multivariable calculus, derivatives of multivariable functions, continuity of multivariable functions, and fundamental lemma for differentiability. We will study Chain rule and Taylor’s theorem for multivariable functions, Jacobian, inverse and implicit function theorems.

 

Topology R2 and   R3.  Riemann-Stieltjes integral, integrability, integrability of continuous functions, sequences of Integrabile functions, Bounded convergence and Riesz representation theorems, theorems of integral calculus. Integration in Cartesian spaces. Improper and infinite integrals, series of functions.

 


 

Class notes are basis of this course.

Grading Policy: The final grade will be based on three exams:

 

Midterm 1: 30 %
Midterm 2: 30 %
Final: 40%

 


Make up exams In order to be eligible for entering a make-up examination for a missed examination, a student should have a documented or verifiable, and officially acceptable excuse. There will be one make-up examination after the final and all topics will be covered in this exam.
