Content:Double Integrals, polar coordinates. Improper double integrals. Change of variables in double integrals. Triple Integrals: Cylindrical and spherical coordinates. Applications. Line integrals: Parametrisation of curves, Greens Theorem. Independence of path, exact differentials. Parametrisation and orientation of surfaces. Surface Integrals. Divergence and Stokes Theorems, applications.

Goals: A continuation of Math 251. Integral calculus in several variables will be rigorously developed.

Course Outline:

(3 Weeks): Theory of integration: Jordan Regions and Riemann integration.

(2 Weeks): Iterated integrals: Double Integrals, Triple Integrals, etc.

(1 Week) Change of variables. 

(1 Week) Applications. 

(3 Weeks):  Parametrisation and orientation of curves. Line integrals. Independence of path, exact differentials, Greens Theorem.

(2 Weeks): Parametrisation and orientation of surfaces. Surface Integrals.

(2 Weeks):  Divergence and Stokes Theorems, and applications.


Grading:  There will be two midterm exams and a final exam, and quizes.

Midterm 1:  35% ,  April  5, 2017 at 17:40         Exam place is P2 , Exam Results 

Midterm 2:  35%,    May 10, 2017 at 17:40       Exam place is P2  , Exam Results 

Final:  40%,    May 30,  2017,  at 13:30      Exam Places , Exam Results 

Quizes: 10%

Total is  120 (20% bonus)

Letter grades will be given according to catalog!

Make-up: , June 09, 2017 at 09:30  (Make-up exam will be from all topics!)  

Attendance: I will take 24 random attendance during the term, to enter the final exam you should be present in at least 18 of them.
