Homework Assignment 8 : Problems 6.8 and 6.9. Due date: 13.1.2016, Wednesday, by 12 noon.

Homework Assignment 7: Solve Prob. 5.18. Due date: 28.12.2015, Monday.

Homework Assignment 6: Solve Prob. 5.7 with 0.06 S/cm ionic conductivity, Prob. 5.8 for 150 micron thick electrolyte. Due date: 21.12.2015, Monday.

The second coeff. in Eq.(5.18) is correct; it should be 17.18. Thus the solution of Example 5.2 is wrong. The last column of Table 5.2 should be t_wet - t_dry in units of microns. We usually take the average values of the given ranges as swelling in microns.
