Research area:
My field of research in mathematics is geometric topology and symplectic topology. The main focus is the study of smooth/symplectic topology in dimension four and symplectic topology in dimension six. For classification of these structures on a manifold, topological methods such as surgeries are applied. The Seiberg-Witten invariants of 4-manifolds and the count of J-holomorphic curves in 6-manifolds are the basic tools to get information about these structures. Research interest expands to the related topics such as contact topology, surface bundles, Lefschetz fibrations and mapping class groups.
